If you intend to make it on the weekend, not to worry. Here is a recipe for crispy and crunchy fried tofu.

Ingredients:

  • 1 large white tofu
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp broth powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 4 tbsp cornstarch
  • 4 tbsp flour
  • 50 ml of ice water
  • The oil for frying

  1. Cut the white tofu into small dice.

  2. Mix salt, ground pepper, garlic powder, coriander powder, bouillon powder, and baking powder in a bowl. Stir well.

  3. Add cornstarch and flour to a bowl. Stir well until the spices mix with the flour.

  4. Add ice water little by little to the bowl while continuing to stir until the mixture is mixed and forms a thick paste.

  5. Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat.

  6. Dip the tofu into the flour mixture, make sure the tofu is evenly coated with the flour mixture.
