- 1 kg of beef, cut into pieces
- 1 liter thick coconut milk
- 2 stalks of lemongrass, bruised
- 6 pieces of lime leaves
- 5 bay leaves
- 3 cm galangal, bruised
- 3 cm ginger, crushed
- 2 tamarind kandis
- 3 tablespoons of brown sugar, fine comb
- 3 tablespoons of cooking oil
- 2 tablespoons of salt
- Enough water
- 15 grains of red onion
- 10 cloves of garlic
- 10 red chilies
- 8 bird’s eye chilies
- 3 cm turmeric
- 2 teaspoons coriander
- 1 teaspoon of cumin
- 1 teaspoon pepper
How to make:
Heat the cooking oil in a pan, then sauté the ground spices, lemon grass, lime leaves, bay leaves, galangal and ginger until fragrant.
Add beef and stir until smooth.
Add coconut milk, brown sugar, salt and kandis acid. Stir well.
