This broth is a secret recipe from our family, from the author’s mother and wife. We call it ebi sauce because one of the ingredients is ebi or dried shrimp.
This ebi sauce can be considered a “plain” sauce, because it doesn’t use a lot of ingredients, but it’s suitable for those who like savory flavors.
For a medium sized pot, prepare the ingredients as below.

250 grams of ebi or dried shrimp
1 ounce curly red chili
15 shallots
3 cloves of garlic
Coconut milk from 1 coconut
1 galangal 5 cm long
